Sustainability for both the planet and its people is what drives us. From the beginning, it has been our north star and will remain true with everything we do.
Sustainability can be complex, and although, as a small business, we are sometimes at the mercy of manufacturers, supply chain, and tech, we are committed to working hard to limit our environmental impact.
We’re wiping away deforestation.
Typical disposable paper products like toilet paper and tissues are made from 40-year-old trees, and around 384 trees are cut down to make a lifetime's worth of toilet paper for just one person!
Trees provide a safe habitat for Aussie wildlife, absorb carbon, protect soil from erosion and keep the air clean. Our environment is healthier and happier when trees remain in the ground not flushed down the toilet.
That’s why Eco Cheeks products are totally tree-free. Our bamboo is responsibly sourced, and is 100% certified by the highest international forest standard.
Bamboo is the best! It’s a renewable resource, one of the fastest-growing plants in the world (some species grow up to a metre a day!) and can be harvested year on year for up to 70 years! On the other hand, trees require 30-40 years to mature and can only be harvested once. Learn More.
We’re 100% chemical-free.
We strongly believe that what we put on, in and around our body can impact our overall health. Unlike conventional and recycled toilet paper and tissues on the market, our bamboo products retain their physical strength, softness and absorption - without needing a chemical aid. They’re 100% free from chlorine, bleach, formaldehyde, hydrogen-peroxide, fragrance, BPA and other irritants and toxins, keeping our bodies and our environment safe. Learn More
Eco Cheeks products are biodegradable and break down quickly and easily, and because they’re chemical and pollutant free, they’re suitable for septic tanks and composting toilets too!
We’re 100% plastic-free.
Our products are delivered directly to your door in 100% recycled packaging and cartons sealed with paper-based eco packaging tape (and a kiss)! Everything is free from plastic, fully recyclable and biodegradable.

We’re carbon neutral.
We’ve partnered with Greenfleet to plant enough legally protected native trees to offset 100% of the carbon emissions generated by each and every delivery.
Greenfleet forests provide environmental benefits by:

- creating resilient ecosystems
- building habitat for koalas and other native wildlife
- improving soil and water quality
- restoring biodiversity in Australia and New Zealand.
We’re a 99% paper-free office.
We’re a 99% paper-free office (except for those pesky shipping labels). We’re an online first company and aim to action everything we can electronically.
We’re certified.
We work closely with our manufacturer to ensure our products are produced in sustainable and ethical factories as certified under amfori BSCI - Business Social Compliance Initiative. We want to ensure our practices support workers and the environment and are committed to ongoing evaluation and auditing of the manufacturing supply chain.

We’re giving back.
Sure, we’re primarily a toilet paper company - but we’re also aiming to be part social enterprise - committed to making a positive contribution within Australia, socially and environmentally.
We've been donating 2% of all sales (not profit) to Greenfleet and Starlight Children’s Foundation since day one - with a goal to increase our donations and support additional organisations as we grow.
